NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage includes live text for Sunday's games on multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six of the NFL season , after recent talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their perfect starts.

Notable during those contests were the number of penalties both conceded. The Eagles committed them at crucial times so they essentially defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns entering the final quarter against the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this weekend.

But it proved positive to see how Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to overcome the shortfall before lead three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, securing the game by four points.

Denver have the defensive player of the year with CB their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, and Denver prevailed in that battle.

They had the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They weren't necessarily sending more than four defenders instead they could plug two LBs in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a slot defender off the edge.

Early on in the campaign, it was noted during a show how the Broncos could be this season's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year strongly and excelled of building upon that.

Could Denver be this season's underdog story?

New tight end Evan Engram has stepped up big and new RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He's currently 5th in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

I love how head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows that Denver are a team that wants to run first, since one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes while keeps you in favourable situations.

It's also helped quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to throw anywhere, but they lack in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional arm talent, a unique trait, plus he is highly agile.

His assets are his movement, being able to throw while moving, and finding varied release points to deliver the pass as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can throw precision throws across the middle or past defenders.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays a lot of poise under pressure and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and can pass in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and is very decisive.

If you consistently run the ball it eats up the clock and forces the opponent to be in play extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defense has to cover the field downfield side to side. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has bitten back with the coach on the sideline at times and I think Payton appreciates that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for the coach to have a rookie QB who's kind of like moldable clay. The coach can truly build something up the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and has surpassed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. I think the achievements Denver are experiencing offensively is largely down to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix helps shape him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a better guy guiding you, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're working above average, that's a solid position to be in their division. The key to do to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their strength, that is running the ball, and that's precisely what they should do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win any game.

Since the league started recording takeaways in 1933, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule up to their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers on 3-2 so they could make a run at leading the West.

It depends upon which form of the Chiefs they face because Denver {beat|def
