England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The show will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
