Combatants chuckle as they travel on the back of a pick-up truck, speeding by a line of several lifeless forms and moving facing the descending African sunset.

"See such effort. Observe this mass destruction," a combatant shouts.

He grins as he turns the camera on himself and his companion combatants, their paramilitary identification visible: "These people are all going to be killed like this."

These individuals are rejoicing over a mass killing that aid workers believe killed more than 2,000 civilians in the African city of al-Fashir last month.

A Community Severed from the Globe

Following their control of the urban area under encirclement for almost 24 months, from August the RSF proceeded to strengthen its position and blockade the leftover residents.

Orbital photography reveal that troops began to erect a massive berm - a elevated dirt embankment - around the perimeter of el-Fasher, blocking entry points and blocking humanitarian assistance.

While the blockade escalated, 78 individuals were slain in an paramilitary assault on a religious building on September 19th, while the UN stated dozens more were slain in drone and heavy weapon bombardments on a displacement camp in fall.

Explicit Recording Shows Unarmed People Executed

In the early morning on October 26th the paramilitary force overwhelmed the last government strongholds and seized the central headquarters in the city, the command center of the Army Division, as the government forces retreated.

One of the most disturbing footage to emerge and examined revealed the aftermath of a massacre at a campus structure on the western of the city, where dozens corpses were visible scattered across the floor.

An older individual wearing a white tunic remained alone amongst the victims. The individual looked to gaze as a combatant equipped with a weapon walked along the steps facing him. lifting his firearm, the fighter discharged a solitary shot at the man, who fell to the floor motionless.

"Why is this person even breathing," another fighter cried. "Kill this one."

Space-based imagery recorded on October 26th indicated to confirm that shootings were also carried out on the streets of el-Fasher, based on a report released by the academic research center.

One observer who provided testimony reported he had observed "numerous of our family members being massacred - the victims were collected in one place and all murdered."

RSF Commanders Seek to Implement Damage Control

During the period that followed the massacre, militia leader admitted that his troops had perpetrated "violations" and announced the incidents would be examined.

Included among arrested was following a report documenting his executions. Deliberately staged and modified footage posted on the RSF's formal messaging channel reveal him being taken into a prison room at a jail on the edges of el-Fasher.

Simultaneously, the militia and associated online profiles started seeking to reshape the narrative.

Content showing its fighters providing supplies to inhabitants were circulated by various accounts, while the paramilitary's public relations unit shared multiple clips allegedly to show the compassionate management of government detainees.

In spite of the digital initiative being deployed by the paramilitary, their activities in el-Fasher have sparked global outrage.
