Even though entering their maiden European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but secures them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal straight entry to the last 16, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in match.
